Voltaris 75M Stun Flashlight⚡
The Walk I Stopped Dreading
By Marcus D. | Last Updated Oct 2026
My wife used to tease me for being the careful one.
I lock the doors twice. I check the stove three times. So when she started working late shifts at the clinic, I was the one who lay awake until I heard her key in the lock.
I did not say much about it. She did not need another person worrying. But one night in October she came home quiet, and I knew.

She had walked out at 9:30pm, and the clinic lot was nearly empty. A man was standing between two cars near hers, not doing anything. Just standing. She said she kept her eyes on the ground, held her keys like she had seen in a video, and walked to her car without looking up. Then she sat in the driver’s seat with the doors locked and her hands shaking for five full minutes before she could start the engine.
“He probably didn’t do anything,” she said. “That’s what makes it worse. I don’t even know if I was scared of something real.”
I understood that. Fear does not need a reason to be real.

We talked about what she already had. Pepper spray was confiscated at a concert last year. A small alarm sat in a drawer, because she did not trust anyone to respond to it. Keys in her fist, which a coworker had told her was a myth that would hurt her own hand more than anyone else’s.
I started researching. I wanted something she would actually carry every day, not something that would live in a drawer. That is how I found the Voltaris 75M.
It is a flashlight first. That matters. It is small, 0,5 pound, and clips to a keychain. She uses the light all the time without thinking about it. 2,550 lumens, and the beam reaches almost 200 meters. When I stood in our backyard and turned it on, it lit up the fence at the far end like noon.

Then there is the other half. A separate button for the stun function, with a safety switch so it cannot trigger by accident, and a wrist strap that has to be attached before it will work, so it cannot be turned on her if someone grabs it. At 75 million volts, applied through even thick clothing, it causes temporary muscle incapacitation. The crackle is loud. When I tested it in the garage, pointed at nothing, the sound alone made me step back.
We both agreed we hope it stays a flashlight forever.
But here is what I noticed. The first week she carried it, she walked into the house and did not stop at the door. She did not lean on it and breathe. She just came in, dropped her bag, and told me about her day.

By the second week, she had stopped holding her keys in her fist. By the third, she told me she walked out of the clinic that night without looking at the ground.
I do not know what would have happened with that man. Probably nothing. But she does not carry that “probably” anymore. She carries something that works whether she is calm or not.
Last Friday, she took the long way home through the park, just because it was a nice night. I did not say anything. I just put the kettle on, and when I heard her key in the lock, I did not even look up.

So far so good! Last weekend, someone approached me while I was walking my dog with my fiance outside of our apartment. It was a bit uncomfortable, and it made me worry what kind of interaction I might have if he or someone else approached me while I was outside by myself. The reviews for this product were very good, so I decided to give it a shot and I'm not disappointed. It charges pretty quickly, though you want to take it off the charger as soon as it's finished (so you don't diminish the battery in the long run). The flashlight is pretty bright, though the beam doesn't go too far and it's not adjustable. The stun gun part of it is LOUD and of course I didn't test it out on myself (or anyone else!), but the ZAP definitely sounds like it will get someone's attention. I certainly feel more comfortable going out on my own, even though my head is on a swivel now. This is a great investment, and not just for the ladies. Everyone deserves to feel safe!
I have several of these - multi functional and love them! As a single woman of a teenage daughter who lives life on the road in a travel trailer, the need for flashlights is inevitable. The stun gun is merely a bonus to me. It's comfortable to hold, hand sized, and very bright. It also has protective qualities without ever having to use the stun gun on a person, although that's a possibility too. The light alone is pretty blinding, then if you power on the stun gun it emits bright and noisy volts which often frightens away certain wildlife (think critters, bobcats, or mountain lions) or possibly an attacker or black bear. I even used it once to scare off a pesky pack rat! I always take it on walks with me in case I come across an aggressive dog (which if you know RV parks you know there's always at least one). I always keep one in my truck and camper (and usually my purse). It comes with a little cable to charge it up once a month - and that's it! No batteries to buy or change, just grab it and go. Very sturdy and well made. We've dropped them several times and these pics are after about a year of use. Every woman should carry one of these.
Great product. It looks just like a flashlight, easy to use and small so fits in my fanny pack when I’m hiking with my dog. I have a stun baton but it’s just too big and bulky and looks too much like a weapon to me. This is perfect
Works good
I love it. It was the exact color that I ordered and it's way better then the one that I purchased from a store near me. It loud the flash light is bright for night walking or taking the dogs out in the yard at night.
This flashlight has become part of my everyday carry gear. It’s compact, easy to hold, and the beam is bright and focused. I like that the battery lasts a long time and the simple on/off makes it easy to use. Perfect for emergencies, walks, or power outages.
I got this for my granddaughter since she works overnights, I wanted to give her some safety and self protection, this fits in her hand and her pockets its lightweight and not bulky.
I like everything about this flashlight. It’s way better having it charge accessible with micro usb.
Awesome product thati believe to be one of the best out there.
I bought this for my daughter who is a trucker. She's able to carry it like a flashlight but when you push the stun button it is very bright and very loud. I would expect this to scare some people away. The casing is very sturdy and the end is thick so you can use it as a baton as well. I'm impressed with the workmanship. I'm buying one for myself and my sister as well.
I really wanted a self-defense item that didn’t look like a self-defense item so I could keep it in my car. This product fit that bill perfectly. I like that there is some functionality to this product and I can use it as a flashlight when I’m not needing it to protect myself. The flashlight is a nice size, fits in my hand well, and has a decent brightness. The product seems to be made well and it’s easy to charge. It comes in a nice carrying case. I took one star off because I had some difficulty figuring out how to turn it on, but after a little while, I realized it’s a long hold on the button. It just didn’t seem intuitive to me, though, but I see the safety of it now … you don’t wanna turn the stun gun on by accident. I have not had the balls to try it out on myself. My husband has said I could try it out on him, but I don’t wanna hurt him so I haven’t tried it out on him yet. I think my best choice is to grow a pair, but I have heart problems so that’s the reason why I don’t have balls. We’ll see …maybe I’ll roll the dice. I would love to know if the voltage it boasts is accurate, but I don’t know how to test that. Time to research. :)
I like this Very much works as advertised
No complaints and for the people saying it broke quickly after purchasing it. The stronger a tazer is the easier it us to ruin dry firing for no reason. That current is designed to go through someone's body not sort circuit on itself.
This light is ridiculously bright. So bright you could probably shine it in someone's face during the day and as they cover their face taze the left out of them
I using this light to splice and a run in a junction box and accidentally discharged the tazer. And scared the voodoo out of myself and I thought I was working on live wire or something and messed-up
Nice small flashlight with a built-in stungun easy to carry on a walk.
This Tactical Flashlight is an excellent tool for safety. The flashlight is bright enough to light up dark areas clearly, and the stun feature adds an extra layer of protection. It’s compact, easy to carry, and feels sturdy in hand. I love that it’s rechargeable—no need for constant battery changes. Perfect for walks at night or keeping in the car for emergencies. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable self-defense tool.
Good quality, I haven’t had to zap anybody yet, but I’m definitely not going to try it on myself. It looks like it would hurt big time. Flashlight is great as well.
Didn't buy it to stun anyone, but it is replacing one we had that was easy to use with a good battery life, but we used it quite often until it wouldn't charge anymore. We use it daily to scare the squirrels out of the bird feeders in the window. They climb up the vinyl siding then cling to the screen to reach into the feeder. Only twice did we have the window open and touched the belly thru the screen but it didn't phase that rodent in the least. It was back an hour later. But they don't like the zapping noise and will run across the back yard so that is what we use it for.
small and powerful.
What a great idea! It’s really loud & scary
I never thought I would need this on my neighborhood exercising. Unfortunately I see children/ teens acting aggressively towards and around me unprovoked, some homeless individuals also (I live in Commifornia) and animals. Its crazy loud with very first “crack” of the taser, as you can hear me startled. It’s very light, and I can easily put this in my leggings pocket. Yes it’s pretty big for that, but I’d rather the person see it than not. I’m very pleased with this inexpensive security help. I won’t be without it.
Shocking
We like the idea of having a flashlight that can zap as well. Keep one in the car door as well as in the house. Small enough to keep in a pocket book. Great for having in your hand when walking alone outside at night.
Happy with this purchase I!!
So far it’s what I wanted! It works well, it charges, and it feels like good quality. Seems worth the money.
The size is perfect for where I need it to be. The sound is loud enough that it should scare before you hav3 to actually stun someone. It holds it charge.
Was well made and so far has worked great
I have bought at least 7 or 8 of these. I have given a few of these as gifts and I kept a couple for myself. This is a great little taser. It is small enough to hold in your hand for walking your dog and presents an extra level of security. It functions as a flashlight so it is great to use on early morning walks or evening walks in the dark. You can keep one in your car - just remember to bring it in and charge it on occasion. The noise from the taser is enough to scare most aggressive dogs or even an aggressive person. I used it to scare off some attacking mockingbirds last spring - the birds got a little aggressive I guess during breeding season and on my regular walk they were physically attacking everyone walking by. They were attacking my head, getting in my hair, so one day I just discharged the taser in the air, and after that they left me alone. Problem solved! I showed this to my concierge and they all went out and bought them too. I gave them to some co-workers and other co-workers bought them. I love that you can stick it in your coat pocket and keep going. It is light and small and functional. I just gave these to my nieces who are in their 20's, for a Christmas present and they loved them.
I could actually be a sales person for defensafex I absolutely believe in the product. You do have to be careful and not let the prongs get caught on things in your purse or they will bend/break. I have broken the push button on one of my tasers. I love that they are simply rechargeable and do not require
I’m having use my stun gun yet. But it good to have it with me when I go to work. It’s still dark out and I will have my stun gun with me. And the seller did great. Thank you
Works great.
